With over 25 years of experience in the Australian civil helicopter sector, Tom House is a proven leader in search and rescue, law enforcement, and aeromedical operations. He brings deep operational and regulatory knowledge, underpinned by advanced legal qualifications and decades of hands-on experience across multiple mission profiles.

Tom has held key CASA regulatory appointments including Head of Flying Operations (HOFO), Head of Training and Checking (HOTC), and Head of Operations (HOO) across air transport, aerial work, and flight training organisations.

His executive roles have involved oversight of complex multi-platform operations, compliance systems, and organisational capability.

An experienced Flight Instructor and Flight Examiner, Tom holds an Air Transport Pilot Licence – Helicopter, with instructor and examiner privileges covering night VFR and instrument ratings.  He has flown a wide range of helicopter types including SK76, BH412, EC135, EC145, AW139 & AS365.

Professional Recognition and Qualifications

Tom holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Air and Space Law from Leiden University, where his thesis focused on ICAO standards and recommended practices for hospital helicopter landing sites.
